MEET COACH BRET SUMMERS

Brett Summers is a well-known boxing coach based in Arlington, Washington. He has a distinguished history both as an amateur and professional boxer. Starting his boxing journey at the age of 8, Brett achieved significant milestones, including winning the U.S. National Amateur Championship and the North American Amateur Championship at age 16.

Throughout his amateur career, he compiled a remarkable 340-40 record and was an 11-time Washington state amateur champion in the 106-pound weight class.

Turning professional in 1982, Brett quickly made a name for himself, winning his first 22 professional fights and reaching a peak world ranking of 11th. He concluded his professional career with a record of 28-3-1, with 18 of his wins by knockout​

Today, Brett Summers runs Summers Boxing Club in Arlington, where he trains both amateur and professional fighters. He is also actively involved in helping individuals with Parkinson's disease through boxing-based fitness programs. These programs have shown to slow the progression of the disease and improve the physical and emotional well-being of the participants​
